Celebrating Excellence: NAAC “A++” Grade for University of Kashmir

I am delighted to share with all stakeholders of the University of Kashmir — our dedicated faculty members, officers, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, and well-wishers — the proud and joyful news that our University has been accredited with the highest “A++” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its most recent cycle of assessment.

This prestigious recognition marks a defining milestone in the University's journey toward academic and institutional excellence. It reflects the collective resolve, unwavering dedication, and exceptional contributions of our academic and administrative fraternity. The A++ grade not only affirms our progress but also reinforces our standing as a leading institution committed to quality, innovation, integrity, and inclusive development.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to our distinguished faculty, officers, non-teaching staff, and all employees whose commitment has been pivotal in attaining this distinction. A special note of appreciation goes to the Prof. Manzoor A Shah (Director) and his team at Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA) for their exemplary coordination throughout the accreditation process.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the Directorate of IT&SS for their exemplary technical stewardship — ensuring end-to-end digital preparedness, flawless live streaming of sessions in hybrid mode, and robust infrastructural support — all of which were instrumental in ensuring a seamless and transparent NAAC visit.

My appreciation is due to the Education Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC) for their valuable contribution in documenting key moments and producing impactful visual content with professionalism.

I also place on record my thanks to the Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Research, Dean College Development Council, Registrar, Controller of Examinations and all Statutory Officers of the University for their stead fast support, meticulous coordination, and commitment to institutional preparedness that were instrumental in this achievement.

A special word of thanks is extended to my Special Secretary and the dedicated team at the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured seamless communication and elective coordination throughout the process.

Let us celebrate this proud moment together and reaffirm our collective resolve to carry the University of Kashmir to even greater heights — as a beacon of knowledge, research, and societal transformation at regional, national, and global levels.

With warm regards and best wishes,

Prof. Nilofer Khan
